It began with a daughter and her mother.
Before ParentCare Ethiopia was a service, it was a promise a daughter made to her mother.
When Dr. Lidya's own mother was diagnosed with cancer, the care she needed could not be found close to home. So Lidya did what a devoted daughter does. She took her mother to India, more than once, for advanced treatment. She arranged the visas and the flights. She sat across from specialists and asked the hard questions. She managed every medication, every appointment, and every long night far from home, and she stayed at her mother's side through all of it.
Lidya began guiding them the same way, walking beside them through hospitals abroad, turning complicated medical language into plain answers, and carrying some of the weight so a worried family could finally breathe. She did it because she understood, from the inside, exactly how heavy that road can feel.
ParentCare Ethiopia grew from that lived experience. It is care shaped by someone who has walked the hardest version of this journey, and now offers her steadiness to families who cannot always be there in person.
